Twinkle Little Star

….I was sitting on the grass when the star came to me.

“I’ve been waiting for you for one hour! Where have you been?”

The star didn’t answer my question, he jumped to the top of tree and began to sing. I was so annoyed, but on the other hand, I adored his shining. It was so bright and I feel warm and comfort.

He said, “So, what’s going on? You look so terrible…”

I sighed, “It’s happen again. I’ve lost a lot of friends.”

“Have you ever counted how many friends you’ve lost?” the star said.

“No, it doesn’t matter, does it?” I answered.

“Yeah, it doesn’t matter. So, what’s the problem?” the star smiled at me.

“I feel so empty. I don’t have a friend that I can share with anymore…”

“Hoo… so what am I?” the star acted like a child.

I laughed, “You are a star. We are different, right? I mean.. I don’t have a human - friends anymore. It’s impossible to ask you hang out in a coffee shop or discuss some movie that we have watched together, isn’t it?” I saw his face. He was thinking about something. Suddenly I realized that he didn’t know what coffee shop and movie are, but I didn’t care.

“I want to be like you, to be a star. There are many stars in the dark of night. You are never alone…” I continued.

“Let me tell you something and look at the sky. We seem together, but actually we are separated so far away. I know that I will never meet again with a star that I’ve ever met. For example, when I was going to this Earth, I met a beautiful star from Jupiter. We talked much about Mars, Saturn, and Black Hole. He was a great friend. But I realized that even I could get the same way to turn back, that beautiful star perhaps have crushed to some planets or some asteroids, or perhaps he banged because he got older. There is no mortality in this world. Something may and have to disappear, and a new one will come to you. It’s so natural. I think, you knew about this kind of universal law…” the star finished his words with a hard sigh.

“Yea… I know. But the hard thing is how to let your friend away from you… We have done many things together.” I remembered the last friend that gone. The star didn’t give a responsive word. He continued to sing his song…

“twinkle… twinkle little star…”
